The journey towards Naoi came with a lot of unexpected twists and turns but I believe that life always has a way of getting you to where you are meant to be. Naoi is my place of happiness, peace and a place for my creative freedom. It is built on my love of painting and working with paper of different colours and textures and turning them into pieces you can wear or things for everyday use. I paint wooden blanks in various shapes and sizes and create colourful pieces of jewellery for everyday wear and some eye catching statement pieces.  I hand roll strips of paper to make beads which I use in my pieces of jewellery. I also use paper to decoupage onto wood to create earrings, pendants and a few selective wooden accessories.

In 2009, I began working in the retail industry in Cork, which involved repairing jewelry.
Since then I have been designing and making unique one-of-a-kind pieces, which I have sold at craft markets, and at a number of retail outlets.
I also receive clients through friends and family, these often include the repair and redesign of old or damaged pieces of jewelry. This sometimes involves the melting and reshaping of heirloom jewelry, to give it a new lease of life.

I am a Tipperary based designer/maker of hand painted colourful wooden jewellery along with modern hand embroidery kits and patterns …. nope, no sign of granny embroidery here! Inspired by the colours and shapes around me, I try and use these in my work.  My jewellery is laser cut from sustainable wood & each piece is then hand painted & assembled by me, from start to finish.  I try and use eco friendly materials where possible, from the resin to the glitter to my packaging, to play my part in keeping the environment in good order.. My pieces are bright and colourful, like little pieces of wearable art & hopefully something to make you smile!  You won’t see these in Penney’s hun! My embroidery is mostly inspired by floral’s & my kids & I love combining it with some cheeky quotes.  I like to give the old craft of embroidery a modern take & sometimes it can cross over to the jewellery side, for instance my rainbow bar earrings came about from doing my rainbow embroidery hoops.. I design, make & photo all these pieces myself, in my little home studio in Ireland.
